Divide that price by 4

The microphones and usually cheaper than the receivers. Equals 4- $35 Microphones (transmitter) and 4-$55 receivers.

How good can a $35 cordless microphone sound?

How much do you pay for your corded microphones?

They make these "karaoke" labled things for the home market.

It's not for a professional system.

I just paid $599 for 1 transmitter and 1 receiver.

There are other issues. The best receivers have two channels (diversity) to eliminate drop outs or dead zones. The reason I buy these type of receivers is before I started karaoke I followed a KJ that had single channel cordless microphones. He had to move the antenna around to put the dead spot on the ceiling.

No, sorry,
I use Nady's.
They work well but I'll typically only use them at a private function.
For the bars, I still like the wired mics. Too many drunks that drop them and use them as drumsticks... BUT they can't walk around the room and get the crowd involved...so it's a trade off.
