Karaoke at Home - Build a Home Karaoke System

home karaoke system
Thanks for dropping by! Performing karaoke at home has become so popular that I decided to dedicate a separate section of the Karaoke-Tutor.com site specifically to this subject. Per usual I will try to avoid using a lot of technical jargon and explain things in terms that you should have no problem following. Forgive me if that sounded condescending, it wasn't meant to. It's just that most people who come here are karaoke novices who just want some direct answers.

You may be thinking, as many people do, that you can simply connect a karaoke player or a laptop to your home stereo system, add a microphone or two and some karaoke music, and you're ready for a karaoke party. I'm afraid that unless you like "quiet" karaoke parties you are going to be disappointed. Your home stereo may rock out standard music but when you add live vocals it just won't hold up. In fact, those surround sound speakers will most likely give out.

If you insist on using your home stereo as a karaoke system you should at least read the short Home Stereo Karaoke System article.
